Sandcastle Lessons
All lessons are 2 hours duration. You just bring your sunscreen, water, hat, and enthusiasm!We are now taking bookings for sandcastling lessons for December 2024 and January 2025.
2 hour lessons cost $100 (+ online booking fee) for up to 4 people. (Max 8 in group)
Family & Whanau Lesson
Learning to build an epic sandcastle offers fantastic fun for multi-generational families including children, parents, or grandparents. Children love the opportunity to create something magical alongside their parents.
A 2-hour lesson is a great opportunity to enjoy a shared learning experience away from devices, screens, and shopping malls. Everything you need is provided.
Circle of Friends Lesson
Sandcastles aren’t just for kids! A 2-hour lesson exclusively for your group can add a unique experience to your day at the beach with friends. Are you an artist or an engineer? Collaborative or competitive? Let your creativity flow as you work together to produce an end result will surprie you all.
Delight your friends with this unique and unexpected activity. And where better than together in the sun, on the beach!
Locations
Our lessons are held at on the beautiful Papamoa Beach at one of three convenient locations: Moturiki Leisure Island, Tay Street Beach, or Omanu Beach Reserve. Each location offers access to parking, toilets, and coffee and food outlets. Tay Street Beach and Omanu are also surf lifeguard patrolled beaches. You will be notified of the location at least 24 hours prior to your lesson after King of the Castle Sandart has reviewed various factors including the weather and tide.

$100 per group of 4 participants (age 5+)*
$20 each additional participant.*
* plus booking fee of 5.2%
Groups including children 12 years and under must include at least one participating adult (aged 17+).
Maximum participating group size: 8 people.
Your lesson will be exclusive to your group alone.
Children under 5 years of age are free and will be accommodated with age appropriate sand toys.
Please let us know if you have older family members who are spectating, but not participating, and we will attempt to provide a shade gazebo.
